Complex systems are constantly balancing at the edge of chaos. The intertwining forms of UN Studio’s Mercedes-Benz Museum for instance can hardly be described in plans and sections. However, contractors needed exact documents with information about the parts while the whole was still in the process of development. By organizing the immense amount of information in a parametric three-dimensional model a couple of thousand detailed plans could be generated automatically for any variant of the design chosen by the architect.
