The design of Renzo Piano’s Zentrum Paul Klee is a series of waves situated on concentric circles. In order to reach an optimal plan the architect wished to test alternative solutions within the scope of his design idea. designtoproduction developed a parametric model of the steel structure to aid the design process. The parametric data was ultimately also used to map the geometry of the curved I-beams into two-dimensional plans for the steel contractor. |
