The Camera Obscura in Trondheim harbor is the materialized result of a graduate teaching project at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). A group of 15 students developed this twisted cube in order to explore the potentials of digital design and fabrication in timber construction. It projects its surroundings onto the inside floor by means of a revolving mirror.
designtoproduction conceived a digital chain for timber construction from software to fabrication, and guided the development of a systematic detailing suitable for digital fabrication.
