A canopy of woven timber girders carries the roof of the clubhouse designed by Shigeru Ban for the Haesley Nine Bridges Golf Resort in South Korea. 21 slender columns support 32 roof elements, assembled from more than 3,500 intricately detailed gluelam segments prefabricated in Switzerland. designtoproduction helped creating a reference geometry of the roof and generated 3D-models for all 467 different timber component types - including the details for almost 15,000 lap-joints. |
